Tradition (Hildegard's writings) 1

In Hildegard's tradition, columbine wine was associated with the throat.

Ingredients

Fresh columbine herb (flowers, leaves, seed pods); red or white wine.

Preparation 1

Chop about 30 to 40 g of fresh columbine herb and press out roughly 20 ml of juice. Mix the juice with wine and pour it into a dark 500 ml bottle.

Note

Keeps for about six months when stored in a cool place.
