Tradition (Hildegard's writings)

In the tradition, amber water was associated with the stomach.

Preparation 1

In the morning, place the amber in a glass of fresh water, leave it there for 20 to 25 minutes and then take the stone out. The water is then ready for use after breakfast.

Note

Amber is fossilised tree resin. It is used only externally or via the water, never taken internally.

About the stone

By Hildegard's account, the water takes up the powers of the stone when the stone lies in it briefly.
