In Hildegard's tradition, savory was associated with the joints and digestion.

Fresh or dried savory.

Botanical background 1

A distinction is drawn between annual summer savory (Satureja hortensis) and perennial, largely woody winter savory (Satureja montana). The leaves bear oil glands holding a spicy essential oil.
