Tradition (Hildegard's writings)

In Hildegard's stone lore, chalcedony was associated with inner calm and composure — with tension, impatience and changeable mood. It is also recorded in connection with sensitivity to the weather, stage fright and fluent speech.

Note

It is also considered helpful to carry a smoothly polished chalcedony (worry stone) in a trouser or jacket pocket.
