Tradition (Hildegard's writings)

In Hildegard's tradition, “quenched wine” was associated, as a calming drink, with mood, relaxation and sleep.

Ingredients

Wine and water.

Preparation

Boil a glass (250 ml) of wine vigorously for one minute and “quench” it with half a cup of water.

Note

By today's understanding, lasting stress places a burden on the immune system, the brain and the heart; a conscious counterweight is therefore held to matter.
