Tradition (Hildegard's writings)

In Hildegard's tradition, feverfew mother tincture soup was regarded as a women's preparation and associated with the female cycle.

Ingredients

Feverfew, egg yolk, wine vinegar, cinnamon, zedoary and spelt flour.

Preparation

Beat 2 tbsp of feverfew mother tincture with 2 egg yolks until foamy. Stir in 4 tsp of wine vinegar, 10 g of cinnamon (1 heaped tsp), 7 g of zedoary (1 level tsp) and 1 tbsp of light spelt flour. Cook it with a little water or calf's-foot bone broth into a thickish soup.
