Tradition (Hildegard's writings)

In Hildegard's tradition, the pelargonium powder blend was associated with well-being in the cold season.

Ingredients

Pelargonium, pellitory and nutmeg powder.

Preparation

Powder blend: 20 g pelargonium powder, 10 g pellitory powder and 10 g nutmeg powder.

Botanical background

The pelargonium contains an essential oil with an intense scent of frankincense, credited with antimicrobial and antiviral properties. Its bioflavonoids act as radical scavengers.
