In Hildegard's tradition, vine ash tooth wine was associated with the care of teeth and mouth.

Ingredients

Ash of vine shoots; red or white wine.

Chop about 40 to 50 g of dry vine shoots cut in spring and burn them completely in a clean hearth, keeping other ash out. Put 1 to 2 tbsp of the pure vine ash into a dark 750 ml bottle, pour in half of 500 ml of wine and shake several times, then add the rest of the wine and swirl it again.

Note
