Tradition (Hildegard's writings)

In Hildegard's tradition, rue salve was associated with external use over the kidneys.

Ingredients

Rue, bear fat and rose oil.

Preparation

10 ml of rue leaf juice, 10 ml of spring wormwood leaf juice, 50 g of bear fat and 5 drops of rose oil. Chop the wormwood and rue leaves in a blender, press out the juice, work it into a salve with the bear fat and preserve it with the rose oil.

Note

Complaints of the kidneys or of blood pressure need medical attention.
