Tradition (Hildegard's writings)

In Hildegard's tradition, the fenugreek powder blend (“heart powder”) was associated with the heart and circulation.

Ingredients

White pepper, cumin powder and fenugreek seed powder.

Note

Fenugreek is said to increase well-being; in those who are overweight it is said to support weight loss, and in very slim people weight gain.

Botanical background

The diosgenin it contains resembles the body's own hormones. Bioflavonoids act as radical scavengers; white pepper is credited with circulation-promoting properties.
