Tradition (Hildegard's writings) 1

In Hildegard's tradition, lungwort wine was associated with the airways.

Ingredients

Fresh lungwort; red or white wine.

Preparation 1

Chop 3 tbsp of fresh lungwort, cover it with 1 litre of wine and boil it for no more than five minutes. Pour the wine first through a sieve and then through a cotton tea filter, and pour it into a dark bottle.

Note

Keeps for about six months when stored in a cool place.
