Tradition (Hildegard's writings)

In Hildegard's tradition, this herbal fumigation was associated with the nose and sinuses.

Ingredients

Fennel herb and dill herb.

Preparation

Herb mixture: 20 g fennel herb and 80 g dill herb.

Note

The fumigation herbs were traditionally used for at least three days.

Botanical background

Dill herb contains an essential oil credited with antimicrobial and antifungal properties.
