Tradition (Hildegard's writings) 1

In Hildegard's tradition, galangal wine was associated with the back and the side.

Ingredients

Galangal root; red or white wine.

Preparation 1

Chop 1 tbsp (about 7 g) of galangal root, cover it with 500 ml of wine and simmer it for around five minutes. Pour the preparation through a sieve and use it as fresh as possible.

Note

The preparation should be made fresh each time and not kept in store.
