Ingredients
Servings
1
| 250 g | spelt flour type 630 or 1050 (available in our shop) |
| 50 g | ground almonds (available in our shop) |
| 1 pinch | salt (available in our shop) |
| 1 tsp | baking powder (available in our shop) |
| 15 g | spiced cookie powder (available in our shop) |
| 75 g | raw cane sugar (available in our shop) |
| 125 g | soft butter (for baking) |
| 1 pc | egg (for baking) |
Instructions
- Fill all ingredients except the raw cane sugar into a well-sealing jar (0.75 l) – either mixed or in pretty layers. Put the raw cane sugar into a small bag and place it on top.
- Close the jar and add a label or gift tag. Note on it that 125 g soft butter and 1 egg are needed for baking.
- To bake, whisk the egg with the raw cane sugar until fluffy, add the soft butter and gradually stir in the cookie mix.
- Leave the dough to rest in the fridge for 1–2 hours.
- Roll out the dough to about 4 mm, cut out cookies and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 190 °C for 10–15 minutes.
Miller's tip: No time to bake? Our ready-made spelt energy cookies are available in the shop. Lovely as an Advent calendar: number 24 small bags, put one cookie in each and write a little saying for the day on the back.
